Brief History

The Mozambique Chamber of Commerce is a collective person with administrative, financial and patrimonial autonomy.

The Chamber was founded in 1980, whose its main objective is the promotion of trade among local and foreign companies.

The membership is open for enterprises, organizations institutions and citizens either national or foreign who are willing to co-operate with the Chamber.

Presently our members are covering the most important economical sectors of the country such as agricultural, fishing tourism, insurance, health, industrial, banks, transport, services, local and foreign trade enterprises, etc.

The head offices of the Chamber are located in the capital city - Maputo, with one branch in Beira - Sofala Province in the Center of the Country.

The Chamber of Commerce of Mozambique is a full member of International Chamber of Commerce based in Paris - France since its foundation.

Internally the Chamber is associated at the CTA - Confederation of Economical Associations of Mozambique.
